Sago Pakoda – Recipe

Traditionally, Sago (aka Sabudana) is usually used in making kheer or vathal (odiyalu/fryums). Sago pakoda is a different snack made with sago as the main ingredient. It is a crispy snack apt for sweater weather! It is also a great snack for kids in the evening! Let us dive into how to cook this yummy food: Ingredients: Sago – 1 cup Rava (sooji) – 2 cups Butter milk – 5 cups Jeera – 1.5 tbsp Onion – 1 big Green chillies – 8 nos Ginger – a small piece Curry leaves – a handful Coriander – a handful Salt – to taste Recipe: In a mixing bowl, add butter milk (a little sourness is preferred), sago, rava and salt and mix well to form a thick batter Let it soak for at least 4 hours From time to time whisk the batter well and if required, sprinkle water.
